My son used, the 150 gr ELD-X in his 7mm-08 @ 2,800+ FPS ( W/ StaBall ) to kill a 5 X 6, bull Elk at, 247 yards, got good penetration on a "badly" angled shot, so it took, a 2nd one, to Finish him off ( This was NOT, the Bullets Fault ). Bullet clipped the front shoulder Blade going in and was found in the off rear Ham area, AFTER Breaking the Femur bone. Good Penetration and the Bull was "Anchored" but, kicking and trying to get up. Bullet retained about, a little less than, 1/2 the bullets original weight and mushroomed well ! I will be using, the 143 gr. ELD-X's in my 6.5 Creed for Deer / Antelope. My 21 y/o Grandson W/ 6.5 PRC, made 3, One shot, DRT Kills with them, on Muley's from, 225 yards to 468 yards ! And,.. they are accurate, in most Rifles !
