Only shot at 331 today. But had great accuracy results. Great weather for testing this morning too. 37°-49°, almost zero wind until I finished my testing. 1401' elevation, rangefinder showed 27.82 barometric pressure. Starting velocity was actually higher than I anticipated. End velocity where I hit pressure was close to what I expected. I did shoot a couple of the top end shots in my 20" barrel too. That action seems to show pressure just a bit later than my Lone Peak TI. But not by much. Maybe a grain or two. I will try a ladder with N565 just to rule out any possible speed increases with a slower burn rate powder. But I was pretty happy with the results. I will be working in the 6/7/8/9 range (55.5-57.0gr) at 3230-3280fps range. Recoil was mild, but definitely felt a bit sharper than the H1000/RL23/N565 loads and heavies I am used to. Just a bit quicker "pop" feeling. I would have LOVED to hit 3400, but didn't happen with the 6.5SS. But even at 3250, makes it a 925 yard deer round where I would be using it. Again, I am seeing right about a 120fps difference between my 26" & 20" barrels. 20fps/1" is pretty darn good. That has shown in several different loads between my two rifles. From 144s to 156s, and even the 131 Hammer Hunter.
