The JJ Rock action uses a breech ring for the lug seats, lug cams and feed ramp. It's a smaller diameter ring made from 17-4 PH and fits snugly into a recess in the receiver similar in style and use as the GAP Tempest and the Badger Ordnance M2013. The Tempest if pictured below. As to why JJ Rock is so much more expensive, They just wanted to jump out in front of the other competitors and appear to be the best because of cost. The curiosity of why the cost, drives shooters and gunsmiths to their website which increases their advertising value to the stupid websites like Facebook. Other than that, there is little to no advanced technology or metallurgy to warrant the increase in cost. It simply separates them from everyone else. I have one in the shop but I don't have time right now to explore it in its entirety. I also have the Stiller and Bat actions as well.
