Looking for a Left handed rifle for my buddy. Looking for a barreled action or complete gun. Really wanting a barrel throated for longer heavier bullets along with bottom metal to accommodate it. Trying to keep the rifle itself 7 pound max weight.
30 nosler
300 ultra mag
338 edge
Or ?

When I lived in Peters Twp. I had a great little LEFT HAND rifle made for me by Olie Olson at E.R. Shaw in Bridgeville. It is a 375/284 (375 Butch) which is the 284 Win case necked up to 375 with a 40 degree shoulder. It has a medium weight barrel. Everything is matte black finished. It comes close to factory 375HH ballistics but fits in a short action. I had this built for my son a few years back. He killed everything from this huge cape buffalo in Zambia to whitetail doe in Washington County. I worked for Remington at the time and I chose the 788 action because it is STRONG and incredibly accurate (It was used by several benchrest shooters I knew). The removable magazine was a big plus. Fred Huntington (RCBS) made the dies and suggested I name it after my kid so it became the 375 Butch. Clymer made the reamer, Both I am including in the sale. I am including the die set, 40 formed cases and 40 new 284 Win cases ready for forming. I will not send any loaded ammo for obvious reasons, but I will include some dummies and load data for the 375B. Also a new set of Leupold rings and bases for the 788. I am asking only $1000 for everything.

Good luck in your search. I just happened across your post and threw that in just in case. My 1000 yd gun is a pre-64 M70 (RH) with a 26" med heavy E.R. Shaw barrel hand made by Olie Olsen, HS Precision stock, chambered in 30-338 longthroat for 200 grain Matchking or Nosler Partition depending on the intention. I can keep 5 shots in 18 inches at 1000 yds if I can correctly dope wind and mirage. I killed a 8x7 bull elk on the opposing mountain side with it. I'm selling that one too. $2000 with Leupold dbl dovetail rings and base, no scope. Thanks for letting me bump your post.
