Hello all. I've been messing around with my Ridgeline Scout in 308win for a couple years now. It's been my do-all under 300yds truck gun. I've been happy with it. I recently decided to replace the factory stock with a Manners pro hunter. I was assured that this rifle has M5 bottom metal. Bought a stock and took it to the smith. Turns out the Christensen Scout bottom metal is only M5-ish. It is different enough in several dimensions that it would require moderate stock modifications to make everything fit. I expected better tolerances for a fairly expensive rifle. Ended up buying a Hawkins M5 bottom metal and setting it up with that instead. Hopefully this helps anyone else swapping these stocks. Cheers
