Accu-Trigger issues

I have a Savage 10BA Stealth rifle in 6.5 CM with Accu-trigger. I have had several issues with the Accu-trigger "tripping" while tensioning up on the trigger and the trigger locking up. I have tried increasing the pull weight which worked for about 100 shots but the issue is starting again. This is very disturbing when you are on the firing line under time constraints. I can either send it back to Savage and see what they can do or I can replace it with a Timney single stage trigger. I am definitely leaning toward the Timney option. Suggestions or opinions appreciated.

I would recommend replacing the trigger, I never cared for the accutrrigger personally. If you replace it, you won't have to deal with shipping your rifle and being without it for who knows how long.

It sounds like you're pulling the trigger a bit off to the side rather than straight back on the face of the trigger. I happen to like the AccuTriggers, but I've seen others have problems with them doing the same thing that you're experiencing. The best option would probably be to replace the trigger.

This is what it sounds like to me.

Same problem with mine. I have a Model 12 BVSS in 22-250. I bought a SSS adjustable trigger, and am very satisfied with it. Easy to instal and adjust.
