The recent LRH website overhaul

Phone friendly, So far I like it.
Still need to figure out where a few things are but no big deal. I will learn it.
Good job.

So far I'm not liking the new format.
Takes longer to find what I want.
Faster speed?? I can see no difference.
I do like the missing banner ads.

Is it me, or is the search engine from the top of the site a lot LESS useful now? I can't seem to find/search anything anymore. Thoughts?

The speed improvement won't be fully implemented for a couple weeks.

Oh and on my email notifications for threads I've subscribed to I can't access through the link supplied in the email notification.

How long ago did you receive the email with the bad link? I thought we had that fixed late this morning.

I had one from this morning that didn't. I could tell you the time as I had 31 emails I went through at the time I was on break at work.

Hard to teach an old dog new tricks

So far I'm a huge fan of the improved functionality as far as phone access is concerned. And I'm new enough that I hadn't learned everything yet. All in all, this is a huge improvement for me.

Not sure the cause, I had to hit refresh 8 times to see the last post. When I click on alert to come here, it had last nigths posts, and said 41 minutes ago. If I didnt know, I would think that was the new posts, and move on.

Does it do it all the time. I have had this on this software elsewhere. Using chrome,but don't think that is it.

I like the alerts. That is enough reason to change, and learn something new.

It appears the new software is easier for "bots" to register as a member then post spam.
2 different spam not threads have been posted in the ELR forum in 2 days.
There wasn't 1 in the past several months that I noticed since my joining of LRH.
Maybe there is a way to implement a double authorization type registration.

I like the new software features besides that.

Is it better to just report spam threads that create all kids of hoops? This site doesn't but some have have hoops just to use the search engine. Are bots searching? If so, let them.

2 is not a trend, but something to notice, and forget about, if it doesn't happen again.

See spam, change the channel.
