338 Edge Savage build questions

I have one built on a Savage long action small shank. 30" Pac-Nor bull barrel with 10 twist. Shoots Sierra 300 SMK with H-1000 into very small groups. Shoot it as a single shot. Typically at the distance one shoots this awesome caliber you have plenty of time to grab additional rounds from the box if need be.

I would not hesitate to build or shoot another 338 edge on a savage action in single shot form. Awesome accuracy at affordable cost!

I've burned 3 barrels off of a savage in 338 edge. Wasn't even called an edge for the 1st two barrels lol. Shoots under 5 at 1k all day in the wind if I can. 338s make 308 bore stuff look silly. Energy and wind resistance aren't even in the same world. And I can run single shot faster than a spotter can provide data so who needs a clip. Savage action is ci e for the edge. Let's roll.

Any thoughts on contour? I would like to keep it at least somewhat portable. The Light Target contour looks too thin as it's only double bullet diameter at the muzzle and that needs to be threaded yet. Would Medium Target or Sendero be heavy enough to be accurate? (.83-.87 at the muzzle) I don't want a 30" whip. Looks like at least through McGowen the 30" options are limited.

When I need another barrel for the Edge I would get a varmint contour. Basically anything between .75" - .85" at the muzzle.
