    Hogue or Bell Carlson stock?

That's what I was thinking. I didn't want to spend a ton on the stock, which is why I was looking at those two. I like the fit of the b&c better and the stiffness. The flex in the Hogue forend bothered me, but everyone I talk to has had good luck with them. I'll probably go b&c though.

    Hogue or Bell Carlson stock?

I think I probably already know the answer, but which would be better? The Hogue full bed stock or the Bell Carlson Medalist. I like the way the rubber overmold feels, but feel like the Medalist is a stiffer stock. Both have aluminum bedding block, so they should both be solid.

    Savage 111 vs Weatherby Vanguard

I would like to start with just an action and build my own, but I'm not going to have the time to right now. I'll do some more looking though. That would be a lot of fun and more meaningful that just a stock rifle. I need to do a little more homework.

    Savage 111 vs Weatherby Vanguard

Just had another thought. I know the vanguard is made by Howa, and I can get a Howa barreled action and put a good stock on it at a good price. I have use Howa rifles before and been impressed with them. Their triggers are more adjustable than the vanguard ( have safety feature that only...

    Savage 111 vs Weatherby Vanguard

It looked like it would stiffen the stock up a lot. Savage is always coming up with something good.

    Savage 111 vs Weatherby Vanguard

I was looking at the 111FCNS. Just the 22" barrel model. I was leaning toward a 25-06. I really like that caliber for deer hunting. I don't really like the injection molded stock, but the accustock seems like it would be a lot stiffer than just a normal injection molded. With the price...

Went target shooting and guess what?

I did some research projects on deer a couple years ago while at school. We handled fawns frequently to gather data and put tags on a few. Over the summer none of the does abandoned the the fawns. Their maturnal instincts continue to drive then to take care of the fawn. All the fawns we...

    Savage 111 vs Weatherby Vanguard

After a little more looking around I can see that most people lean toward the Savage. Which I was starting too after reading more articles on both. Do you guys think the accustock is the way to go, or laminate stock?

    Savage 111 vs Weatherby Vanguard

Just wondering what opinions are about these rifles. I'm looking at getting one for mostly mid-range hunting, but occasional long range shooting. I was looking at the new Savage 111 with the accustock. I've never owned a Savage before, but know they are good rifles. I was also looking at the...

Where can I find Remington 581 5rnd clips?

Thank you for your information. I had not found and clips yet and was sad because the one I currently have is in bad shape and often will not feed correctly. Thank you!

Where can I find Remington 581 5rnd clips?

Anyone know where to find Rem. 581 5rnd clips? I found some 10rnd ones, but they are not very good. Thanks

    SOLD/EXPIRED TC Encore 50cal/270 combo

I have a Blued/Synthetic Encore with 50cal and .270 barrels. The .270 is a Bergara barrel and has about a box of shells through it. The 50cal has not been shot that much, and has been kept clean. The 50cal has a muzzle break, and a custum ramrod, and both scope bases on the barrels have been...
