    Barrel Length With Muzzle Brake?

    You really need to get a life. It's as simple as...24-26" before the brake, on the 7 Mag, and 24" before the brake on the .284. I was just hoping a couple guys who have installed brakes on these calibers would chime in and offer some advice.

    How bullet impact is affected by altitude and temperature...

    I can give you an example, as I looked into the same thing yesterday. The difference in bullet drop with my load(.417 B.C.@2800) between 980 elevation and 5000 elevation, is only 2" at 500 yards. Temp. remaining the same.
