    Which scope for night hunting

The Zeiss will work well. I prefer a regular reticle over an illuminated reticle at night. With a good led you will see the crosshairs just fine.

    First Coyote Called and Killed!

CB11WYO, I use Dead Coyote T-shot with good results out of my SX3. Its about the most expensive I have found but a dead coyote is worth more than $4.50 to me.

    First Coyote Called and Killed!

Way to go! Nice looking coyote and rifle. It sure feels good when it all comes together for the first time.

    Thanksgiving night coyote

Yes, most of the coyotes around here are lighter colored. I think I'm going to have to get out again tonight. I have a couple spots I haven't called in a while.

    Thanksgiving night coyote

Headed out at about 10:00 pm thanksgiving night for some coyote calling. We walked into our first stand quietly in the dark. The moon was not out so it was nice and dark. Started calling with my foxpro and at about 5 minutes I had a bobcat creeping on me at 50 yards. Bobcat season starts Dec 1...

    No Luck.....

Only three times out and no coyotes? Just keep at it. It will happen. I also prefer a crosswind set up. Coyotes will almost always circle to your downwind. My calling buddy uses a flextone and it is plenty loud enough. Coyotes can hear a mouse squeak at a few hundred yards. Pay close attention...

hornady superformance in my 223 ar?

I have put hundreds of rounds of superformance through my 18" mid length AR without a single problem. The 53 gr superformance groups better than the 55 gr V Max rounds I used to shoot. They also put the smack on coyotes with not many exits.

First blood on my new grendel

I haven't started loading for mine yet so all I have shot are factory loaded 123 A Max from Hornady. I'm getting all the reloading components together now. I would like to try some of the lighter projectiles like the 95gr V Max on coyotes.

    Snow!!

Nice coyote! I can't wait for some snow here. Its raining today so I can't work or hunt. I go crazy stuck in the house.

    well that was messy

Wow, nice shot! You don't get too many runners with shots like that.

First blood on my new grendel

Went out and spent the day calling some new land with my new grendel. Made several blank stands. Got to the best looking spot and I could hear another hunters foxpro playing rabbit distress. Headed out to the next stand. Got settled in and my buddy is hand calling. Its a little windy so he's...

    Southeast Nebraska, Northeast Kansas

Anyone here calling coyotes in southeast NE and northeast KS? Getting started with another season of calling and was wondering who was doing the same. Been calling several lately. Looks like it may be a good year. How are you guys doing? Greg

    Anyone Night Hunting in October?

I went out last night just before the front went through. Despite the big winds we called one in on each of two stands. Both came in late at 25-30 mins into the stand. Didnt get either shot as they wouldn't come out of the thick stuff. Had a good time watching them anyway. Plan to go out again...
