What bullet?

I have an 8 pound jug of Varget that I’d like to use. I would either build a gun or buy factory but I need help on what cartridge best suits Varget other than the .308 win. The gun would be mainly used for paper and steel out to 1000 yards. Ready go!

I shot an Antelope buck 4 years ago with a 308 win and 155 vld, can’t remember the velocity. 250 yards behind the shoulder in and out with a baseball sized exit. Did the death run in a big circle for about 80 yards. I would shoot them again if I had a 308 win.

I’m trying to decide between these two scopes as well. 2.5-20 or the 3.5-15 for a 6.5 creed build for hunting and targets. I’ve got a SHV 5-20 on my 7 remmag that has never once let me down in the last 6 seasons.
