I've been on one hog hunt. Killed a 275 lb. boar at 125 yards with 140 gr. Nosler Partition from a 6.5-06. He sat down after being hit in the shoulder, then tipped over dead. The meat was inedible even when made into sausage. Avoid shooting big boars if you want meat.

Try 300 WSM in a AR-10 for an ultimate long range "perching" rifle. It's heavy, but recoil is inconsequential. Mine puts 150 gr Fusions into 1/4" moa. Perfect for summertime wolf hunts.

Depend on it, ANYTHING from Dillon will be the best; although the Dillon CP-2000 may be overkill for most of us.

My choice is a vintage 2-7 Leopold. It fits comfortably in a saddle scabbard and doesn't hang up when the rifle is pulled out.
