I bought a 330 WM in a very similar setup. Kicked the crap out of me until I ordered a clamp-on break from Witt Machine. Very easy to shoot now without a lot of money in a custom built gun! (Less than $1K before glass)

For your application, 243 would be a great choice. But I love my 22 Creedmoor, 22-250 for backup. But I've always wanted a good 220 Swift!

Ken Farrell base and rings are the only way I'll go for now on. I've used Talley, Leupold, Vortex Tactical, Warne, etc.... Most had to be lapped for descent scope contact surface. Not Farrell's rings... Machined as a matched set and marked accordingly.

Wow. I changed my mind at the last minute and went with a #3 contour 26" Bartlein fluted barrel trying to shave some weight for a carry gun sitting in a HS Precision aluminum bedded stock. I'm hoping for similar accuracy as you've shown. I hope I won't regret the lighter barrel with this hotter...

I'm in process with a 6.5x284 build using 700 LA, and a Bartlein 3B contour light bull sporter barrel fluted barrel. I'm pondering what stock to carry with. Any advice? Or should I start another thread?

I went with a 22 Creedmoor running 75 gr ELD's and loving it! Hornady is planning to offer production brass someday too! Alpha Brass has been working great for the time being.
