I’m mounting a Huskemaw Blue Diamond 5c20x50 on my new CA Ridgeline. Putting Tally lightweight rings. Anyone have thoughts on the ring height? Thinking the extra high but not sure. I know I could wait and measure when I get the gun but would rather have the accessories when I pick the gun up. Thanks
After 8 shots cleaning between shots, then cleaning after 3-5 for 3 rounds (break in), I started with load development. Here is my target with multiple recipes based on 195 grain Berger, fed215, mostly re33. A few w/retumbo.
Had the new 27.5" barrel put on my m70 action. Bought a new medalist stock and had BM glass bed.. They added a muzzle break and worked on the factory trigger. Set it at a crisp 2.25#. I may get an aftermarket trigger still but the did a good job tuning it crisp. Talley m rings and a Huskemaw 5x20.
Building a long range rifle. I would like to practice to 1000yds. I'm at the point of ordering accessories. having a barrel put on my Winchester action. the action is long. post 64 claw type extractor. Bought it in the 80's. wondering if i will need a 20 MOA base with my Huskemaw 5-20x50 scope...
Thanks Greyfox. i just looked at the ballistics(energy downrange). Even at 700yds the energy is still over 1000. Seems far enough for me. my longest kill shot to date is 425. Missed a whopper a few years back at 550. Trying to remedy that. side note.. which rangefinder do you suggest. my leica...
I am getting great results(.25-.4) with 51 gr 4831sc and 140 amax. 210 primer 24" barrel. Anyone hazzard to guess what fps i am getting? this seem to be a sweet spot. after reading this thread i'm thinking i need to speed this up a bit. No signs of pressure
