Was able to take a crossbow elk. Used an Excalibur crossbow.

I went in January. The meat tastes good but very tough. It needs to be ground.

I went on a high fence aoudad hunt last year. The ranch is 23,000 acres. We had to really hunt for them. Price was 2,400. Let me know if you are interested.

I would recommend Tangle Ridge Outfitters. Brent and Becky are great. Family owned. I know Brent has done some long range shooting. They have a couple good antelope areas they hunt. I believe in them enough that I am planning an elk hunt with them this fall provided I draw the tag..

Yes we had dogs. My son in law had his English setter that did the pointing and I had my Small Munsterlander puppy.

Went to Chicahomny wma on Jan. 1. Had 6 woodcock flushed with 2 birds down.

You could try the Highland wma. Some grouse there.

My longest shot was last year. Pronghorn antelope at 563 yards. Second longest was ground hog at 454 yards.

Didn't draw an elk tag in Wyoming. So to Michigan in October for grouse and woodcock. White tails in Virginia. Then to Texas for aoudad.

My most accurate rifle is a 6.5-284. 8.5 Kreiger barrel, shooting 130 grain Bergers. Built by Donald Jones at the Cowboy Shop. Will shoot sub 3\16 groups at 100 yards. Taking it to Wyoming next week to go antelope hunting.

My daughter and her husband are coming to Michigan to hunt grouse and woodcock. We have looked and could not find the answer. Can you hunt on Sunday's in Michigan? Thank you
