    Your thoughts

Moose, I'm working on starting up a new build 300Win Mag, I Have not even fired it yet. 700 blueprinted 26-inch Benchmark with the Sendero contour. I am going to be using Peterson brass. My question is, are you using H1000 with Fed mag primers? If not, what?

    Wolves poisoned in Oregon

Why did you miss it? "Almost" doesn't count, that could have been a "double"!

    Wolves poisoned in Oregon

You can kill all of them for all I care. I have seen what they have left behind of both game and livestock.

What do you guys do in the off season?

Coyote hunts, open all year here. During the winter I get a lot of time at the reloading bench getting loads ready for the year ahead.

    Midway USA

I have also received many products from Midway that the shipping packaging was terrible. Once, I received a Redding die set that the Redding box had popped open and allowed them to be damaged during the transportation handing. I was lucky the damage was limited only to the exterior bodies. I...

2022 Best Range Finder for ELR?

I've bought and tried the Leupold, Nikon, and used a buddy's Sig. Traded the Leupold back to my local dealer and bought a Leica CFR2400. None of them even came close to the performance I get out of the Leica. Sold the Nikon at a gun show. Better glass and clear target images, for better...

Reloading - Is it still really worth it?

Is it worth it? I think it is for various reasons. Funny you asked this question, I just finished introducing a good friend of mine into reloading. He needed some loads for his custom build AR, 223 with a 1 in 7 twist barrel. He came over with a 250 round bag of new Nosler brass and 3 boxes...

Bed both ends of rail or just one end???

Both ends and all the contacting/mating areas on the receiver. If you have a rail with a recoil lug tab machined into it (like a Badge or Nightforce) put a dab on the face of that lug also. Blueprairiedog has it perfectly right.

    What brake?

I put one of Darrell Hollands ( Shooters Suppyl, Inc.) "Radial Baffle Brake" on my LR Rem 700, 300 Win Mag and could not believe the difference it made. Absolutely the best Brake I have. I don't think there are any better, here is a link...

    Case prep center

Goose71, what do you mean "is running out of life"? Is the symptom? The drive motor for turning the 5 tool head spindles slowing down and sounds like the motor is laboring? If this is the case, I have a suggestion. I can't tell you how many decades old mine is, but I can say it has done 10's...

    New Redding Dies

Most likely a much faster solution to the problem also.

    New Redding Dies

Good point and a very good suggestion.

    New Redding Dies

Redding dies are the best, that said. Assuming the brass is clean. A few questions; Are the dies new and did they come to you in an unopened box? Possibly the dies are not "300 PRC"; check the box label and see if it matches the engraving on the body of the FL die. Some monkeys messing around...
