For those that want 300 WSM\'s in Remmy\'s The 300 WSM seems very popular here, as do the Remington model 700's. I've heard people talk about this caliber in one of the model 700 variations, and thought everyone might like to know that Remington is chambering for the 270 WSM in their model 700...

How much do these MonoLoc attachments cost?

The 270 WSM is in the lead right now. Remington is offering it in the model 700 SPS, so if I decide on this caliber, this is what I'll get. I was thinking about a 130gr Barnes Triple Shock X at around 3300fps... Would this be a good deer load?

What are some good calibers for short/mid range (300-500 yards) deer hunting? I want something a little different, so a .308 is out. I've been looking at the 270 WSM, .257 Weatherby, and 25-06. What do yall think of these calibers? Thanks

I'm new to long range hunting, what is a good caliber to start with? I am thinking about getting a 7mmRUM or 300RUM for deer and hogs out to 600+. Thanks, timba
