I have one, found hand loads will work. But need them loaded long. Needed new magazines and a long action bolt stop. I agree changing the barrel would work. With the tika it’s a long action, with the short action bolt stop. You can change to any caliber in the 30 cal bolt face.

This is what I did last week with StaBALL HD and 180 ELD-M. 24” proof barrel: It is a powder available.

Would a CDG fit?

Did you run the brass with FLD before loading?

I have my 6.5 PRC Waypoint carbon fiber. Ordered it and a month later have it. The gun store also gave me 2 boxes of 162 ELDX to go with it. I have everything to reload except magnum powder. Now I just need to order a scope so I can shoot it. I will update when I do.
