Hi guys, Looking for some advice on developing a load. OK I have found a good load 43.5gr of Varget this brings me on the board 3 shots at 12.7mm @ 100yds. This load was devised at 0.5gr increments. My question is should I then be moving at lower increments to find a sweeter spot ? Or...

I would try the Berger VLD 175g on your rifle. I think on the Berger web site they even go down to 165g with a 1>13 twist. 175g work extremely well on my 24inch barrel 1>13. Good luck.

Good shooting . I agree its cheaper to have a custom build done in the US than in the UK. I went through this last year with my rifle. If you require any advice/help on the import, drop us a line.

I also have used the WHEELER ENGINEERING FAT torque screwdriver. Pretty good for setting up scope rings to the manufacturers reco. Pretty reasonably priced at £46.00 over here in the UK. Cheers.

Purchased a North Face goose down 4 season some 20yrs ago and its still one hell of a good bag. For me goose down is the only way to go. Had some very comfortable warm nights in the Himalayas and the alps over the years. My advice is pay the bucks and get a good nights sleep.

Has anyone compared these bullets in the field ? I have used Berger VLD .308 175gr on red deer. Fantastic accuracy in 1.13 twist. All beasts have gone down but none have dropped to the shot. Just wondering if these NEW Match Hunting bullets are up for the job !

I use a VAIS brake on my .308 ,no going back . Certainly lets you follow through with the shot.Just make sure your spotter is wearing cans ! SWALI
