I think you should at least look at field optics research. I have multiple tripods of theirs. Love them. Light weight. Go with the carbon. Two reasons. Noise when you hit something. And weight. Give them a shot. You will not regret it.

I think Mcmillian makes a good stock. But I’ve had problems. I’ll be interested to see what they say. When I bought a stock from them, not cheap, the warranty said if you modify it it will void the warranty. You have to modify it to bed the action. Please let us know. Good luck.
