GS Custom 120HV Bullets tested at over 600 yrds

Dave, if I understand what you mean I totally agree. But, for curiosity sake, I believe it's a bit over .4. I won't be taking shots on game at over 600 yards most likely, depending on the available rest, so what difference does the BC make??? Is that what you mean?? Steve

GS Custom 120HV Bullets tested at over 600 yrds

Got out again to shoot further and was only able to go to 745 yards. I was using an inferior rest sytem compared to last outing but the best 3 shot group was 4 1/2". The other group was 1/2" bigger. These bullets seem to be very consistent and I believe with a steadier rest I can cut an inch or...

GS Custom 120HV Bullets tested at over 600 yrds

I ordered them on their website, and yes I'm from Utah, U.S.A. Gina, who I believe is the owner of the company that her father founded, was very good at coresponding with me via email about how long it would take for me to receive them. It took them (GS Custom) about 10 days to manufacture the...

GS Custom 120HV Bullets tested at over 600 yrds

Wildcat, we are still trying to figure out true BC. We're using the xball program in unison with shooting different distances to figure it out. Right now it appears to be around .4. GS Bullets are small in weight and BC by comparison to Berger Bullets or Wildcat Bullets, but I like the solid...

GS Custom 120HV Bullets tested at over 600 yrds

Well, I finally got to test the GS Custom 120 HVs out of my .284 STAK (300 Dakota, necked down & improved, similar to Rolands 7mmRHB). At 100 yards my groups were consistent at 3/8" which was not quite as tight as the 140 or 160 Accubonds, BUT last night I shot the 120s at 613 yrds with my 3...

    140 J-4 8, ULD H.P. RBBT Wildcat Bullet

Can anyone give me information about this bullet that has tried it at the range and possibly on game. As an HP is the base thick enough to do well on deer and elk, and how does it perform at the range as far as accuracy? Also, does anyone know the BC on this particular bullet?? Thanks, Steve

Great shooting Jim, I was wondering how your hunt would go with Dave. I hope to see the video before to long. Best, Steve

Sprinco plate + silver moly barrel treatment, IT WORKS!!!

Bounty, I cannot answer that question with accuracy yet. It was some new tests with the RL 22 and most of my data is with RL 25. I will test them and get back to you. I'd be surprised if the identical guns would be that far apart in speeds though. I'll find out in a few weeks, gotta go guide...

Sprinco plate + silver moly barrel treatment, IT WORKS!!!

Actually Alan is the guys name that sells it and I bought and used what he reccommended, plate + silver to treat the barrel (plugged barrel soaked for 72 hours) and after cleaning I run a wet patch of plate + green. I always run dry patches through the barrel just before shooting. Good luck, and...

Sprinco plate + silver moly barrel treatment, IT WORKS!!!

Hey Roy, I found it surfing the web one day while looking for data on moly coated bullets, and looked into it. I have to say it has worked well as far as increasing velocity. Accuracy hasn't seemed to change, at least not for the worst....Steve

Sprinco plate + silver moly barrel treatment, IT WORKS!!!

Okay, I finally have test result data to show an impressive increase in velocity from plate + silver lubricant made by Sprinco USA. Me and a friend built two wildcat 7mm rifles that mimic the 7mm RHB who (Roland) is a regular on here. Thanks Roland. Anyway, these two guns are identical in that...
