What system, MOA or Mil, do you use?

You are the one pulling the trigger and spending the money so get what you want. MRAD is easier for me to quickly adjust for and it's not because I was in the Army. I carried a 249 saw for a personal weapon and BRM is more of a crash course with no optics so I was trained how to watch tracers...

New Berger .270 cal 170 grain EOL Elite Hunter !

I'll tell you what, next time I re-barrel one of my rifles and I think about twist rate you guys will be on my mind. Pushing weapon and ammo design out of the "30-06" era is more than enough reason for me to shut my mouth and thank you for making the investment in our future. With all the info...

New Berger .270 cal 170 grain EOL Elite Hunter !

No offence meant, but you have to admit for all the standard factory 270 winchesters out there that bullet is useless.

Your Favorite Elk Cartridge and Why?

I use and prefer my Rem 700 Sendero 2 SF in 300 RUM for deer and elk. I loves 180 grain E-Tips in front of US869 powder. Being of the disabled vet type I enjoy the reach it has and nothing has walked away from a hit out to 773 yards. Hopefully I hit the moose tag lottery this year.

    quick load please!

I'm guessing a rem mag not weatherby? Nosler manual 7 has 64 grains of imr 4350 at 3243 fps with a 24" barrel and 1-9 twist. However they state that 66 grains is the most accurate load they found for that powder but it's the maximum charge at 3348 fps. Using the max may show signs of over...

    Powders For 6.5 Creedmoor

Don't know it you ever plan to run light bullets for little critters but I have been having good luck with Ramshots Big Game ball powder. I worked up a load for speers 90 grain tnt hollow points so I wanted a dense powder that would give me at least 80% fill on the capacity. The speer manual I...

Best Hunting Factory Ammo For My New 300 Win Mag?

If you are serious about testing than I would suggest testing the rounds right out of the box. A reloading scale, a set of calipers with an ogive comparator will allow you to see which ammo is most consistent and separate them into similar groups. A concentricity gauge is also useful to identify...
