My bad, all, I stirred things up with the barrage of arrogant yobuck quotes. There's no greater freedom than not caring what others think of you. But, I lost it when he attacked fitzm2's alternative view, who put a lot effort into it. To clarify, not defend - I've killed 16 elk, 2 moose, over...

You and I covered this. I fessed up early and often to the poor shooting form and elaborated in further detail. You agreed it was time to move on.

You must be a heckuva long range shooter with these sniping skills.

Not that we need more evidence - but I found a comment in the appendix of a report made by the shop that developed my load. It states: "Consistent form is key with this rifle. Inconsistent holds show quickly. It needs consistently placed pressure on the fore end, cheekpiece, shoulder, and...

I think you figured it out, but I'd only do this to verify POI using my previously poor technique.

Yep, parallax and eye alignment are other things I can experiment with. Shouldn't be too difficult to verify - shoot with proper alignment, form and parallax adjustment, then compare POI when misaligned with badly adjusted parallax.

I stated earlier that I appreciate new views. That applies here, your concept was communicated much better than you think. Considering the effort and passion you put into it, not to mention the 50+ years of experience, I won’t discount the effects of uplift. And, honestly, I think that’s all...

Cool. Ordered a couple bags and three different sized bipod buddies. Gonna try them all out.

Agreed, Canhunter35's advice was early and it immediately stuck in my mind. Others stated similar versions or expanded on it in a mature and helpful fashion, all very much appreciated. Only a few had attitude or ego muddying up anything useful they were trying to say.

I just assumed the Geovid's whole MOA solution would match the 1/4 MOA solution - like 5.1 MOA would round to 20 1/4 MOA clicks. Easy to swap between the two modes, I'll verify. So, to understand, each of your SD cards differ slightly, then you shoot at a particular distance to see which...

It was a LabRadar chrono. Not mine, but the shop who developed my load.

Thanx for the condolences, kinda ruined the hunt trip some. As for the Geovid, I actually store all the various files on one SD card, including a Word file with a description of each. When I want to switch files, I just change the name "drop.hex" to activate it. It does require a laptop...

This is a long thread, difficult for posters to read through what's already been stated - so, I appreciate a new viewpoint like this. But, if the Geovid gives me a true horizontal distance of 450 yds, the line of sight is actually only 450.1 yds (450 / Cosine 1). One degree is negligible. To...

I do carry a dope card for windage, but it also has elevation in the event of a Geovid or battery failure. It matched the Geovid exactly.
