Building a new one chambered in .416 Ruger.

I hunt them and trap them. Over the years I have taken a lot of them. Something to do in the dead of winter.

Yes I have done lots of it over the years, both hunting and guiding backpack hunts for goat, sheep, grizzly, mule deer, caribou, moose, elk, etc. Lots of fun, but as I get older I prefer letting horses pack out the moose and elk.

I was very sad to hear of Ian's passing. As a fellow Canadian outdoor writer, I can tell you that he was admired by many and was always a gentleman. He will be missed.

New here to this forum. I have actually belonged for a long time but never posted. I've been hunting for about 45 years and reloading for 40. Can't say as I am a long range fanatic, but given the right set of circumstances and carrying the right equipment, I have made a few kills way out...
