    280 Ackley ballistic questions

I've got a .280 Ackley with a 22" Brux, 1-9 twist, shot suppressed 100% of the time. My loads are all with Nosler brass and CCI BR2s, velocities are with a Magneto speed, also in an accurate node. More speed has been available, to the detriment of accuracy many times: RL-26, 160 accubond at...

    327 Federal Magnum reloading, help.

I've got a Ruger in .327 Fed Mag and it is fun to shoot. Haven't reloaded for it yet but will, when I run through my factory stuff. I will concur that I do shoot a bunch of 32 H&R in it and it shoots it very accurately. Tagging in for future load data if anybody has any. Heck, in this...

Best 600y elk cartridge to built on top of 270 Win Tikka action

I've had good luck with the Nosler .280 Ackley brass. I've got one lot of brass that has 10 firings on it and still going strong, primer pocket is still tight. I don't hotrod it though, shoot the 168 VLD at 2875, 22" pipe.

I had great luck with H4831sc as well with the 140 and 160 accubonds. Very accurate, just a bit slower than the RL26. Honestly, as good as the 143 Hammers shoot and work on game, doubt I'll ever shoot anything else in my area.

280 AI and 6BR for wife build help

So far so good, I've killed two big hogs (200+) and a big 180 lb deer this year. All bang flops and good exits on shoulder and head shots.

Hammer Hunter Load Data, (See page 1, Post 8)

Finally got to try some Hammer's in my .280 Ackley, very impressed so far. Did a 10 shot pressure/velocity test. Even spanning 4.5 grains it was about a 1.25 inch group, from a bog pod which is steady, but not bench steady. No doubt they will be accurate upon completion. .280 Ackley...

    Best low light glass?

I own the following scopes and all are pretty dang good at low light: Zeiss Diavari 6-24x56 Leupold VX6 3-18x50 Bushnell LRHS 4.5-18x44 Swarovski Z6i 3-18x50 S&B Klassik 3-12x50 There isn't a whole bunch of difference between them, all are very good glass. But the top two performers in that...
