I am also not trying to start a fight, but are you basing this off of one Animal? I had the same problem on my first elk with the 230 OTM's. I have since had many 230's open up much like the VLD's.

Jmden, Have you tried H1000?

I think it's a good design. They just need to work out a few bugs and quality control. My hunting partner used a 5000 and it worked. But at that price point I would go with a Full curl or Eberlestock pack.

For Backpacking gear reviews I would check out Rokslide.com. There's a lot of Colorado guys there, plus lots of knowledge.

WildRose, the barrel has about 250 round through it. It was a clean barrel. The fouling shot is usually not that far out of the group at 100 yards. I do have the bullet way out there at 3.875 10 thou off the lands. I will start messing with seating depth.

I have tried 200 AB's and they would not group at all.

WildRose, The first shot was the low one..... Its a custom gun, bedded shilen match grade barrel with Jewel trigger. I have the same basic gun in 300 wsm that shoots lights out!
