    My reloading room

That is amazing, it looks like my doctor's office! I have to ask, how long have you been reloading...guessing...less than a year...maybe less than a month! Wish mine was maybe not quite like that, but enough less clutter, that I could reload without spending a half an hour making some space to...

    Bird dogs

I gave my 1st GSP his last ride on Father's Day, he was an incredible dog, thought we might have one more season. Have a new one, 8 months old, frinckin thing eats everything and is tearing the house apart. He will never live up to my memories of Dude...the wife keeps telling me Gus acts the...

    H322 and H110 in stock @ Hodgdon

Yikes! It looks like selling direct will be quite profitable...those prices seem steep, but if you weren't prepared and still want to shoot....prepare to pay a price now. Really, those prices must be double what they would nornally get from wholesalers/distributors.

Your pheasant hunting experiences/bird numbers this past season?

You must get waaay off the the trail, carting around extra gas in the back. Nice line-up! Eat the chicken or mount it? Good lookin dogs.

That farm is in Cherokee County Iowa. It is in a quarter section that is out of production, mostly in CRP.

Your pheasant hunting experiences/bird numbers this past season?

I had a exceptional season, harvest total was 60. We had a tough winter, I fed over 100 gallons of corn once the snow got deep and the feburary deep freeze came. My old GSP did well and m buddies 3 ear old GSP read is turning into a good unting dog. Here are a few trail cam pics, these were...

Your pheasant hunting experiences/bird numbers this past season?

Closed out another season and was very similar to last year, lots of birds, little pressure from other hunters it seemed. Gathered a posse for a late season hunt (usually myself and my buddy or one other). A couple pics.

P Dog Hunting in SD with a thermal scope

I am thinking thermal vision was for low/no light situations...what are you wanting to do with the thermal rig? I am just thinking...why? How far away will these even work?

    Thanksgiving break pheasant hunting experiences...anyone?

I use the same shotgun...if it is a 12 gauge, nice pic. They feel so right...I guess after 30 years or so, it is hard to switch. Bought a V3 to try, the wrist just feels huge, it is back in the vault with the Benelli SBE....destined for back-ups.

    Thanksgiving break pheasant hunting experiences...anyone?

That stinks. The birds numbers reflect the habitat or lack of it. I read in Pennsylvania the state releases pen raised birds during the season for the hunters to shoot. I made a reference to it as "government subsidized pheasant hunting". As I think about this, Iowa also does this (it could...

    Thanksgiving break pheasant hunting experiences...anyone?

Love Thanksgiving, eating, some football and lots of pheasant hunting...social distancing while hunting is easy! Saw lots of hunters on Thursday morning, the rest of the weekend we didn't see many at all. My gang got 23 over the 4 days...had 3 guys one day and 2 on the others. Thursday...

    17 Hornet for son

I have a Savage 25, not what I would pick for a kid, a little fussey on cycling, I couldn't find a single-shot follower to remedy that. Reloading for this little bugger doesn't give much room for error. Maybe factory ammo (shorter OAL) might help cycling, but not the accuracy. Maybe 17HMR...

Your pheasant hunting experiences/bird numbers this past season?

We don't have a lot of CRP, most went in 4 years ago, but I am fortunate to have the connections to get on a few parcels locally. I haven't heard of any new enrollments under the current program, but hpoefully there are some happening.
