GA Precision is known for great work with 260 based rigs. As far as the 6.5 Creedmoor, i see that caliber as a LR caliber for AR based rifles. IMO, bolt action rifles would benefit more from the 260. Just my .02 though...

Another vote for the 260 Rem. That setup would be ideallllll for an easy 1000yd rig.

So whats everyone's opinion on Nosler's 105Gr. BTHP Match Ammo? It somehow actually has a higher BC than the 115 DTac's.. (.593 vs .585) And hey if the rifle can stabilize them, then why not use them right!?

204 Ruger..love mine. Super flat shooting, good punch with 39 grain sierra blitzkings and extremely little recoil. Hot little caliber IMO. Good out to 500 to 600yds on Pdogs. After that I grab my 260 Rem.:cool:

You mentioned savage as a canidate. Go and check out the Model 12 Long Range Precision in one of 3 calibers (243, 260, or 6.5 Creedmoor). As soon as I saw it I had to have it, just ordered it Friday in 260! :D I know the site says around $1100, but my shop sold it to me for $885. Talk about a...

I've been looking at 308's so that will probably be next. The problem with shooting squirrels with my 204 is that IF i miss, that bullets going a lonnngggg way. No squirrel is going to sit still on the ground long enough to get a shot on them. So i find the best way to get them is with my dog...

Haha..i hear ya! I've already started my collection and I'm pretty satisfied where I'm at. Maybe new optics soon though. :rolleyes: Ive got a .22LR, .22WMR, .204Rug, and a .243Win. Thats enough for me and the rifles I've found myself shooting the most are the 204 and 22WMR. :D
