The ABCs of Reloading by Philip Massaro and Metallic Cartridge Handloading; Pursuit of the Perfect Cartridge by Mic McPherson. Have him read ABCs first.
Assuming it was level to start and you simply moved the rings on the rail you should be good. If you loosened the rings and moved the scope you likely need to re-level.
This is a very in expensive tool that is worth having. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1009244912?pid=189016
Unfortunately Denver has become a s***hole. The city has been ruined the homeless encampments, illegals encampments and all the lefties that have moved in from California. Unfortunately with all the votes that have moved in they are working really hard to destroy the entire state.
Okay that makes sense to me. Confirms the posit I just made in the cross post. At least when I get clickers I will know how to deal with it.
Has this been the experience with all the PRCs?
Thanks Jud. I am not even thinking accuracy. I am just thinking of the mechanics of reloading and why this would make a difference. It would seem if the worked brass grows to big and can not be appropriately resized for the SAAMI spec chamber that the same thing would happen over a reloading...
Ironically I was just talking with my son about his new 7PRC target barrel which he is having chambered with an AW reamer. But then I started to consider once fired brass to conform to the AW chamber. Then neck sizing only. The neck only resized case would presumably be a tighter fit than a full...
Dumb question perhaps. Isn't a big point of the PRC chamber designs the tight tolerances to add in accuracy? Wouldn't enlarging the chamber defeat this design element?
No that's not what they said.
People that haven't really listened to the podcasts yet comment clearly don't understand what the Hornady folks are saying. Nor do they understand the methodology and findings of their testing. Hornady did a statistically valid test with given calibers and...
My latest plan, assuming it shoots in the 300PRC I am building, is CEB 200gr Lazers. The rifle has a Hawkins Hunter bottom metal with the Hunter magazines which have an internal length of 3.77. The 200gr Lazers have a COAL of 3.74 seated at the Seal tite band seated at the case mouth per CEBs...
Exactly SAAMI specs 7PRC loads longer. As both cases hold essentially the same amount of powder the only explanation is the bullet isn’t seated as deep in the 7PRC so that more powder is put into that casing. The PRC is not inherently faster than the 7 REM Mag
