    Worth reloading for gas guns?

I reload for every firearm I possess, No exceptions. Why, In the utopian state of "California," do I have to go through too many stupid hoops" put in place by current and former Democratic governments. Why? Every law passed never gets repealed. They sit on the "books and fester. I even went to...

What is the rifle you passed by that you regret not buying

I passed on a superb Ruger #1 in 22-250. I wish I had not, as I really like them, and I can kick myself for not "going for it."

    Looking for a new press

I have used my Rock Chucker since the mid-70s and had no show-stopping complaints. It still has a place of honor on my bench, although it is mostly now only used for the case preparation process. The seating operation is now done on my Forrester Co-Ax. I do appreciate the Co-Ax, but I still...

Rifles bought but haven’t shot yet. What ya got!

None, zip. Every weapon purchased has been shot multiple times. It's easier now that I've retired. There is plenty of time to fondle, clean, load for, and enjoy.

Favorite caliber for Long range shooting?

Years ago, I had a friend who had 500 acres in the Fremont, CA hills. He had a ground squirrel problem and gave me the run on the ranch. Those days I used a custom-built Rem 700 25-06 with a Douglas barrel, no taper. It routinely shot 1/4 minute groups at 100 yards. It was heavy, and I shot off...

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

I shoot for accuracy. None of the weapons I currently load for are running max loads. My 80-year-old body no longer allows hunting per se; now I'm chasing the mythical .000" group. I do get a wide berth at the range when shooting my 338 Lapua; it seems folks are muzzle blast shy; I don't blame...

    338 Lapua - Best Brass?

Lapua is my first choice for all of my long guns. If Lapua makes brass for the round I'm using, I'll go to them every time. Norma would be my second choice if I had to use anything other than Lapua brass. I got familiar with them when I got my 338 LM and haven't looked back.

Found Primers but are they too much $$$

Not to mention the number of weapons and ammunition we send to friendly governments as well as the number of arms and ammo we've sent to the Unkraine.

    Most efficient .22 center fire

Like Bud Light, I like the Valkyrie. I find it fun to shoot and relatively forgiving when it comes to light breezes. Is it a pain in the backside to load for, perhaps but I find that as a challenge I choose to accept.

What is the MOST FUSSY cartridge...and LEAST?

Have to agree on the fussiest; my Valkyrie drives me "BAT S***T". Some days it's an angel the next time, same ammo, it goes from 1/3 minute to over 1 MOA. My least fussy is a tie with my old custom 25-06 and my 338 Lapua. Both are consistently 1/2 to 1/3 minute, with the 25-06 using a load...

    Prairie Dog Rifle Question…

It could be a bit pricey with the 338 LM; even reloading isn't much cheaper. Still the impact would be spectacular.

Some Piece of equipment you feel is overly hyped

I do like borescopes mainly because I really dislike copper deposits in my barrels.

Some Piece of equipment you feel is overly hyped

Unfortunately, my 338 LM prefers Rotumbo, which is a thing of my imagination. It does almost as well with 869 and gives decent groups with H1000. I'm going to try 570 only because I found a pound. We'll see if the "hype is justified.

    Irresponsible bullet manufacturers

I have been reloading for over 50 years. It was always my policy to purchase manuals from whichever bullet manufacturer I use. I appreciate that they publish the data and question why anyone would expect them to provide the data for free. Do I buy a new one every time they publish one? No, since...
