Yes remington did chamber for the 300 weatherby cartridge. Jarrett, Clarence Hammonds and Baer I think all had versions of the 30/ 8mm rm and probably some others. I do like the 300 weatherby but really prefer the Jarrett cartridge with its 35 degree shoulder.

A nice bolt gun in 450 marlin. Remington missed it when they didn't neck the 8mm Remington mag to 30 cal. But I love the fact they put into production the ultra mags..

As I understand it sweets should not be left in the bore more than 15 minutes because said it will etch the bore. I've used it and works well.

Some of the factory stuff I ve seen in the past few years is actually pretty warm.

If pressure is excessive for the brass being used some will flow into the ejector hole and show a round Shiney spot created when the bolt is opened shaving the extruded brass. Hope this makes sense.
