The bases are Leupold and are marked "post 64 "

I have a Win. model 670a and thought it was the same as the model so I got bases for the model 70 post 64. They do not fit the 670a. The front base fits but the rear base shole spacing is way too short. What am I missing here ?

Thank you for the relpy - Just today I was trying understad the problem when I pulled the safty a little harder the I would a model 70 safty and it worked just fine . I kept working it the same way and it seems to work just fine, just pretty stiff.
