    Pinned Scope Bases (picatinny)

Simple Yes or No will suffice, but if you want to explain your position you're more than welcome. Q: Are pinned Scope bases on round or multi-flat actions (Remington, Savage, Winchester or custom) necessary? No, I don't believe so. Whenever I true an action I mill the screw holes dead center...

cowbotwhorses, I got your die done.

Jeff, You're correct, your die will size the brass below standard while the brass is in the die. But after it comes out it does have some spring back. The die is built to .5785" Diameter. All the ID grinds coming out of this shop for me are ground to + or - .0001 meaning that the die could...

    CNC Turned Projectiles???

As far as CNC Turned Bullets go, who is making the most accurate ones available, and what material or grade is being used? What boat tail design has been the most accepted by shooters that need the ultimate in down range accuracy? 1200 yards plus.

cowbotwhorses, I got your die done.

cowboywhorses, Which shell holder do you use? Some of your brass fits my shell holder some doesn't. In looking at your brass, you have Lapua, Norma, Hornady, and Jamison here. Only about half of it fits in my shell holder, and I need to Shorten and Case Harden the shell holder. Would be...

Length of Box Magazine for .375 CheyTac

What length Box Magazine does the CheyTac Use? Is it the Same Box length as the .50 BMG, or do the makers build one between the BMG and the Lapua Mag? Are there issus with the CheyTac and long bullets that exhist. like the Issues with the Lapua Mag that brought about the need for changes like...

    .375 CheyTac necked to .358

Right now most the bullets I shoot are custom made by a select few. That's not what I'm asking though. I guess what I was wondering is if Heavy VLD .358 bullets were available. Would there be a market for them in a cartridge that may have started life as a .375 or .408 CT brass. The only...

    .375 CheyTac necked to .358

I started hunting years ago with a marlin in .35 Remington Caliber. It was a short range gun, but with the weaver 2.5X on it, it was really reliable. Later on and a few rifles later I happened across a model 7 in .350 Remington Mag. That was awesome. The power it had, and the hole it made...

    New type of Action Wrench

4 years, 600 Vises and 1000 wrenches later I haven't had a problem with my Kinked shaft T handle wrench not fitting into an action because of an adjustable raised comb. What I do is advise buyers of is if they want a torque type wrench, the head of their torque wrench might end up very close...

    New type of Action Wrench

Bishop, I came to this site looking for info on some calibers I am planning on making dies for. Had I come here to advertise I would have put a bunch of contact info under my posts like I do on other sites. I have found some of the info which helped me, and today I was shooting pictures from...

    New type of Action Wrench

I build Action wrenches, Barrel Vises, and Various dies in my shop. In the latest batch of wrenches, I had a fella request a Torque style wrench, but he didn't want the standard hex on the rear of the wrench. What he wanted was a 1/2" socket to fit his 1/2" drive torque wrench... Great Idea I...

    .375 CheyTac necked to .358

Well you see that's what I'm getting at.... There are no .358 bullet because we don't use .358. If we were to start using .358, more bullets would become available. Before the .408 CheyTac came to the plate, there wasn't much between .375 and .50 cal.

    .375 CheyTac necked to .358

.375 CheyTac or .408 CheyTac necked down to .358 or even .366 (9.3mm). Has any of you done this move? If so what type of speed and trajectory advantages did you figure and did it live up to your expectations? Are there good bullets in those calibers to make the move worthwhile? Thank You...
