I use 79.1 grains of Magnum behind a 180 grain Barnes TTSX. I don’t know the muzzle velocity but I get 1/2” groups at 200 yards. My rifle is a R1 Benelli.

    Ramshot Magnum good powder?

I definitely recommend load development! I used different powders, COAL, and grain weight. Same bullet (Barnes 180 gr. TTSX) and different cases. CCI Magnum primers. I found no difference in case manufacturers but did ensure cases were within SAMMI specs.

    Powder Prices - good lord

I bought two lbs of Ramshot magnum powder off of Gunbroker this week, New old stock. By the time I sent off the USPS check (no way to use a credit card) with all fees, was $176.19. $29.00 for two day delivery, Washington state sales tax of $14.00 or so dollars plus $25.00 shipping. It all adds up.
