As long as I can get my hands on a Remington 700 action you will never see me buy a custom action. Maybe I’m a odd ball, but I work to hard to blow it on unnecessary things.
I guess you could say both. I always had stick bolt close. And sticky bolt life. Broke a few extractors, and a bolt handle. After the second firing of brass it most of the time it got tossed in the trash because when I full length sized my headspace was all over the place
If your going to the range to punch paper use a target bullet. If your going after game use a hunting bullet. If your rifle don’t have the fortitude at distance then get a bigger rifle. But by all means use the appropriate bullet for what your going to shoot.
I was always told not to shoot brass that has been fired from a different rifle. Never checking out this for myself I was always under the impression range brass was junk. Now knowing that’s not the case. That’s where the amazement came from.
