    Savage Barrel Break questions

Yep. It seems the same to me. I think I answered my own question a bit ago. So this method seems good right? Most likely I will follow it when I get the supply of ammo and the time :).

    Savage Barrel Break questions

I took a look at savages way to break in a barrel (Savage Arms) and it seem like a good way to do it. The only question I have is why would you use 2 DRY patches instead of a wet patch or two with solvent on it and then the dry patches?

    Type of Fouling

Alright. Well I know there is copper, carbon, powder and other foulings. But what do they look like? From what I know, carbon is black and copper is blue. What about all the others? Also, a side note. I use Hoppe's No. 9 or Hoppe's Elite Gun Cleaner to get the carbon/powder (others?) out. On...

Yep. I know about the epoxy and lead shot stuff. I am thinking about stiffining the fore end up. If I keep the rifle. I'm a lefty and I just bought the stevens for a quick entry rifle. It wasnt a bad choice, its just I want something that I can operate correctly. On a second note. I was...

    Stevens Model 200 HELP!

$150 is the cost of the money saver stock. You need to do the stuff to it, like painting it and so on. Still a nice stock though.

    H&R Slug gun

H&R makes great slug guns. We own many H&R single shot shotguns but the best is the H&R Ultra Slug Hunter. It is a 12ga w/ rifled barrel. The barrel is heavy and thick. It is a 8 gauge barrel bored to a 12 gauge. The thing is amazingly accurate at 100 yrds, and the knockdown power is superb...

    Stevens Model 200 HELP!

The only thing I dont like so much about my Stevens is the weight. Other then that it seems fine. The fore end of the stevens model 200 stock is weak, and therefore when it has pressure agaist it (resting it on something hard with pressure on it, putting a bipod on, etc...), it pushes on the...
