    New scope for lightweight rifle

I have the Bushnell LRHS and I like it a lot. They're discontinuing it though, so watch Georgia Precision around June because they've been having sales for $750. That's less than I paid with military discount.

    1970s Remington Model 700 BDL 25-06

Nice! My dad has that same exact stock on a 300wm but I believe it's from the 60's.

Tikka Hunting Rifle Build Question - 7MM Rem Mag

Tikka Performance.com has a bottom metal that will let you use the full length of a AICS magazine.

    28 Nosler vs 7 RUM

Put it in a lead sled, strap it down, and use a 20ft string.

    6.5 PRC Tikka custom

You probably have a lot more speed to play with, I can hit that with my .260. Brand new barrel is probably slow as well.

    7mm 185+ gr Eld-x anyone?

That and many people have said they were able to ring steel with the value on the box.

    7mm 185+ gr Eld-x anyone?

The M's work like a berger when shot at critters, they're very close in BC, I just don't see them making a ELD-X heavier than the 175. Maybe they will, I could be wrong.

    7mm 185+ gr Eld-x anyone?

The ELD-M 180 has a better BC than the 195 Berger.

    Short Action Hunting Cartidge Help

Another vote for the .260. The sectional density of the heavy for caliber bullets is great as is the BC, and the .260 will give you more speed than the 6.5cm if you reload.

    Buying new rifle

Tikka in .260 or 6.5 Creedmoor would be my choice. I have a T3 Hunter in 7 Mag and it shoots very well.

    270-300 Win Mag now feasible

But I think if more manufacturers grab onto the faster twist rates, Browning is doing it, the bullets will come. Eventually it's going to get where everything needs to be shot in a long action.

    270-300 Win Mag now feasible

No, I just think it's stupid to hinge a whole rifle build on one bullet available from a single manufacturer.

    270-300 Win Mag now feasible

Honestly, if there were more offerings for high BC .270 bullets, I'd build a 270WSM or 270 Wby. Unfortunately, there's not and the 6.5 and 7mm market have that cornered.
