Nice buck! The load that you settled on...is about the same load I used on my successful antelope hunt this year. Must be a good node for that bullet at around 3280 fps... 6mm 108 Berger EOL, 24" Criterion 1-7 twist, 24" long barrel. Ave 3283 fps, pushed by RL26. From my 6mm Creedmoor.

If you are just looking for a barrel...look at the Pac-nor "super-match" barrels. https://pac-nor.com/barrels/ You may have to supply them with a 6.5/300 Wby reamer...

My 6.5/257 Wby pushes 150 Sierras at 3427fps with some loads over 3500fps. 28" PacNor barrel. Use the longer mag box in your 300 Wby mag so you can load the 6.5/257 Wby cartridges long, with the higher BC bullets (over 3.5" COAL ). All you need to buy is 270 Wby brass to neck down to 6.5mm...

I have not used the 130 Scirocco bullets in the 270 Wby... But this target is 130 SSTs @ 3600fps.

Yes...Benchmark 28" barrel, 1-9 twist.

I have an accuracy load of a 140gr SST @ 3567fps, pushed by H1000 out of my 270 Wby.

Load the 170s long...Mine are loaded at 3.5" COAL. My rounds will not fit in a MkV Wby action magazine box (mag box can only accommodate at a max of 3.4" COAL)
