What is the rifle you passed by that you regret not buying

375's are fun rifles. I had a m70 super express for a spell. It wasn't very accurate with anything but a 300rn bullet. I now own a m700 sps dg in 375 that is pretty good with most stuff, if you can hang on; she only weighs 8# scoped.

Beretta Neos and Weatherby Vangard both should be on this list. I'm never buying one of either again

    300 Wby. Mag. VS. 300 Rem.Ultra Mag. ?

a couple hundred fps edge to the 300 rum from the 300 roy and 300 rum's I load for if you want them accurate. I can't get any more out of a buddy's 300 roy than I can get out of my 300 win's.

    7 RUM W/180 ELD-M's

h50 bmg is what I'm using with a 175 eld-x in my 7rum. She's an 8" twist Brux with a short throat though... I suspect a bit more cowbell in a longer throat would be the same. If you want to run 140's I suggest rl25, but 175-180 needs (preferably stick- ball might work too in a pinch) 50 cal...

    Remote Job for Wife

There are remote jobs out there that most people can get hired into like data entry, billing rectifying, bill collecting, etc. that only require a decent wi-fi connection and a phone. Heck, a lot of them just run the phone on an app. through the computer. My wife has worked from home for a...

Help me understand the importance of measuring velocity for reloading.

I'm not quite sure I care what the velocity is on a lot of the loads I shoot. Especially for mid range paper punching. If it exits the barrel it will make a hole. That said, I own a Oehler 35 (I'll probably buy a radar based chrono this year- waiting for the dust to settle), My Pops has a...

    Flattest shooting deer rifle

300 rum rifles aren't really that hard on barrels... The smaller bore diameter rifles will eat a bore a good bit quicker. I've got hundreds of rounds on my lh bdl 300rum and she's still a shooter.

What’s up with Hornady’s reloading podcast?

Yup, I tore down some very accurate 300rum ammo for a buddy a while back as it was just a bit warm for his custom setup. I kicked her back 5% but it took weighing a good number of charges to get an average (plus and minus a grain or better). He was happy as a clam with the slightly reduced ammo...

What’s up with Hornady’s reloading podcast?

I'm not 1 to buy a lot of factory ammo, so I don't have that much experience with having issues with getting the stuff to shoot. I usually only buy factory ammo when I need the brass, so I'm not expecting much. Norma 300win, Winchester 7rem 175gr, and Hornady 7-08 in 139 Interlock have been...

What’s up with Hornady’s reloading podcast?

I'm getting sub moa from the Hornady 7-08 139 grain hunting ammo from my Savage Striker pistol... You've had trouble with the 300 roy... yup, my buddy did too. His rifle was a shotgun with WBY factory ammo in 150 gr and 180gr. I cobbled some ammo together using my 300rum dies after he had...

Odd Findings During A Velocity Test

I've stuck with brands like Rem, Win, and Hornady and have had basically zero issues. A couple loose pockets when I was working things up, but loads were pulled and that was that. I've had a few poorly annealed necks but those sort themselves out quickly. I'm not chuckling at fact that there...

Odd Findings During A Velocity Test

2 things I chuckle about on any reloading forum. AI cartridges and using hard brass to make speed because the softer brass shows pressure issues "early". I just steer away and run something with a big enough chamber that I can run it mild (or normal with regular brass) at the speed I want. I'm...
