I believe I started out at around 40. I have been using 8208 XBR in 22-250, 204 and 308. I really like it in all three.

Don't you beleive it. I shoot it well past 600 regularly with good results. Nothing wrong with the 178 if you've got a load built for it. It's all in what your particular rife likes best.

168 gr A-Max and 43 gr 8208 XBR shoots in the .3's and .4s all day long for me.

I am shooting an A-Bolt in 300 WM with a Nikon 8x32x50. Do I need 20MOA bases to shoot at 1000 yards and if so where can I get em? I am finding them for everything but my Browning. Thanks in advance, Rich
