    Any Christian Themed Camo Patterns?

Well, you learn something every day; never had a clue about Serbian trench art before your post Permaculture... Not quite up my alley but interesting stuff. Thank you for pointing it out.

    Any Christian Themed Camo Patterns?

RDM416, that certainly sounds like a great idea. The crosses would break up the outline and actually "camo" it. Thank you, I really appreciate it! -- Don

    Any Christian Themed Camo Patterns?

Thanks WinMag! You've got me thinking; maybe combine your first and third thoughts and stamp "By His Stripes" or something on the metal... Put that over a solid color with flecks of other color maybe. I'll have to give that some thought. If you come up with any more thoughts I'd love to hear...

    Any Christian Themed Camo Patterns?

Guys, I need some help here. I've been scratching my head trying to figure a camo pattern with a Christian theme for a rifle build. Dave Viers built my 338 snipe tac a few years back and made a really nice triple cross on a hill with a kind of a sunrise in the background. It makes for a nice...

338-300 WSM for a light elk rifle?

I had a similar train of thought lightbulb this year while lugging my 300 lapua around, only I opted for an ultralight 300WSM with a 22" ABS barrel. I'm considering a 210 berger or similar for the higher bc to still take those longer shots. I "need" a more deer friendly rifle anyway... Good luck...

    338 Magnums and grizzlies

I shot a brown bear several years ago with a 300 ultra. It was a one shot kill but they sure are tough animals. The other guys in the group had 375's, but they all required multiple shots, which reinforces accurate shooting above all. After having done it once though I'd much rather have a 375...

You wouldn't happen to have a big, gaudy "Elkaholic" sticker on your back window, would you?:D Gotta ask, what's an X-Yooper? -- Don

    Shed dog

Nonya, that is cool; that's a dog that earns his kibble! What methods did you use to train him? I've got a shiloh shepherd puppy with good prey and retrieval drive that I'd like to teach... -- Don

Long Range Pistol Project "30 BTAC"

I do believe that is the coolest pistol I've ever seen!!! You wanted different and you sure got it! Way to go Dave; keep up the innovations. I can't wait to hear how it goes this summer reaching waaayyy out there. -- Don Ferguson

    338 Snipe-Tac

Thanks Mike. Dave did a great job on it, for sure. The calvary scene helps to open doors for conversation. Sendero Man, nothing much to report hunting-wise. I ended up having to go out of town for a family emergency and missed all but the first few days of elk hunting. Priorities... Maybe next...

Savage 338 Edge, wow! does it shoot!

Real sweet, especially for "slapped together". :D I'm impressed, to say the least. How do you like the one-piece base/rings? Any weight savings there, or just sturdier? -- Don

    338 Snipe-Tac

Hey guys, for those interested this rifle has been a blast to shoot. Still trying to find a bear, but my steel targets have been getting a workout. I shot a 6" vertical/4" horizontal three-shot group today on my 1030 yard target. The group was right and down about 6" from center, so not perfect...
