I use a straight spotter mounted on a bar with rangefinder on a tripod. This way, find an animal in scope and easily switch to rangefinder that is already pointed at the animal.

If you have a drill press, clamp 2 pieces of wood together, drill a hole a little smaller than the case diameter, clamp the fired round between the wood and your now square, drill case and install the tap in the drill press and work it by hand to tap.

Also started reloading them a couple years ago. After realizing the semi pistols pushed the shoulder back every bit of 0.020", tried only bumping the shoulder 0.005" to reduce working the brass and they would not load. Did some reading and decided this is a dangerous cartage to reload...

Did you store the rounds with the bullet down? If so, possible the power was all next to the bullet leaving a space between primer and powder.
