6.5 prc enough gun for elk

I have taken several Elk here in Wyoming with my 6.5X284 and 140 grain Berger bullets. The ballistics are nearly identical to the 6.5PRC. Assuming that you place your shot where it needs to be the 6.5PRC will also be perfect for your hunts in Hawaii. Good Hunting

Bear protection Auto in a holster Poll

Chambered. Glock 10mm has no manual safety. I like a good quality chest holster that protects your trigger. Here in Wyoming bears are a reality.

    Burris Eliminator III Scope Review

You should be able to program MV's, and Altitudes into you scopes program. Once you establish you actual MV. your BC seems a little low to be shooting at 750 yards don't you think. I have not read the scope manual in some time but I seem to recall that after your program your scope they...

    Idleback Shooting Chair Review

I also hunt those little rodents in NE California in the Klamath area and around Alturas. I have had to screw wood runners between the legs of our chairs to keep them from settling into the soil. How did this chair handle the settling problem? In the photos the feet don't look very wide. We are...

    Burris Eliminator III Scope Review

The E3 mounted on my Cooper 6.5X.284 Norma shooting Berger 140 VLD is the most lethal combination that I have hunted with in my 55 years of hunting big game. I harvested a mule deer and two antelope with in in 2013 and in 2014 was fortunate enough to get an Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail and two...

    B&C Antelope from Wyoming

Nice. You were right right about the incoming weather. When I shot my antelope on Oct 5th it was snowing sideways with 30+mph winds. Your brute makes my 14 incher look small! Congratulations

What scope for new 6.5x.284 Cooper Rifle?

I have received my new Cooper in 6.5x.284 and I'm having a difficult time selecting a scope. I was considering the Zeiss Rapid Z 800. Also considering something less busy like a Leopold Boone and Crocket with an added calibrated elevation turret. Comments appreciated as deer/antelope season...

    How to transport Elk meat??

If you can fly Southwest Air, they do not charge for checked baggage (first Bag). You need to have a game processor cut, Vac Bag, and freeze your meat. My wife and I flew Southwest from Northern California to Texas last year to hunt deer. We only checked on bag between us and two empty ice...
