Because the stock in most cases but not always shouldn't touch the barrel . In my opinion.

I had the same problem with a houge stock epoxied a length of angle aluminum in there it helped. It should not touch.

I took an 8x8 Idaho bull in 2017 with 180gr hot core out of my 308 Norma did fine. DRT

Not sure the point of your question but I have fire formed Stw brass at times out of whatever I could find at the time same with my 308 Norma.

I'm not really sure how to respond to what you are saying other than I like my Stws and my face more than to try and shoot 7 mag sounds out of my Stw. Maybe it would have been better are how close the 7 practical and 7 mag are. My inquiry was because I had never heard of the 7 practical.

Thank you. I Checked said they had 152 different bullet choices. Clicked on it they had a hand full of barns and Berger to choose from everything else is out of stock.

Since we are on the subject of 7mm. I have found 6mm on up to 338 bullets but almost 0 7mm bullets my thoughts is because it's just that popular. Any thoughts?

I guess I don't really understand the problem with the belted case, and why it's not just like any other case to prep for reloading. And I would take the 284 over the 264 all day every day. Just my 2 cents worth.
