    Improving the 308 Win performance

110 grainers tear up everything I hit, especially pigs. Cheap to reload too.

    Howa mini actions?

I got a Howa mini in 6.5 Grendel and fitted a tight twist IBI heavy barrel with 6mmPPC chamber, a Gunbloke 2 lb. trigger spring and a bit of sear polishing, plus the MDT chassis stock. Threw together a "run-in load" to fire-form the brass ,from 220 Russian, and brake-in the barrel using Hornady...

    Long range camera

Why have the drone flying? Just position it on the ground or box etc and the battery will last for ages without the motors running. Perfect steady picture back to phone or tablet.

New barrel chamber off center, 2 lands going back to neck... Pictures

This also happens when the chambering has been done right, but the rifling is cut deeper on one side. The reamer is centered, but it cuts away the shallow rifling on one side. Still the manufacturers fault, weather they chambered it or not.

Actions - What do you use?

For hunting rifles I've never had a bad Howa/Weatherby Vanguard. Huge range of after market parts etc. and never any issues with function and reliability. Never had to "true" one of them. My gunsmith is coming up 80 years old and been at it forever, he recently said to me that he can't figure...

Is there a Downside/Drawback to using Moly bullets

HBN should have replaced moly altogether by now. [at least for hand loaders] I'm certainly not going back.

Can brass be damaged from over cleaning with stainless pins?

Never had a problem, never had to tumble more then 45nimutes. No detergent, just a pinch of citric acid which you can find in the cake decorating section of supermarkets. But you MUST have a media separator, a few turns each direction with the water nice and full and I have never had a rogue...

Things you wished you knew when you started?

If only you new the difference between denigrating and satire, I do hope ignorance means bliss for those who struggle with this subtlety.

Things you wished you knew when you started?

Look up guns for sale on Australian websites, you will find lots of hand guns legally for sale in all sorts of cartridges. Do you never feel shame or embarrassment for your ignorance or have you started selling the water from Flint Michigan in bottles. The difference is we don,t allow insane...

Things you wished you knew when you started?

In Australia we have a saying, "god bless America, and thank god for the distance between us". As for the Australia gun laws, I have three gun safes full of firearms and police officer friends who borrow them, so ignorance is bliss for both of us I guess. I can also have as many as I can safely...

Things you wished you knew when you started?

I'm sure you meant to say "slightly different from you", but, like everyone else in the world I've learnt to forgive America for many things. Just to help you out, I apologise for not being as succinct as I should. When you order reamers for a particular cartridge, can get them in a set. This...
