Re: Barrel Length and Muzzle Brakes The 26'' is a Savage 12 VLP DBM, the 24'' is a Savage 10 FCP-K. The 24'' is threaded and pictured with the brake, not sure what type, but maybe the break doesn't even come with it?

I'm trying to decide what model Savage to purchase, which will mostly be used for long range targets. Some models have the Accustock feature and others don't. It appears to be a good feature, so my question is: Is this feature so great that I should only buy a savage model that has this feature?

I'm looking at a Savage 12 VLP .308. Interested in getting a 6.5mm x 47 Lapua barrel for it.
