My buddy just got the 243 for a night time thermal rifle. Waiting on the scope rail rail so we haven't shot it yet. Don't really need the fast twist for his application, but it has everything else he was looking for. Threaded, a bit shorter barrel, adjustable comb height, and mid priced.
I'd look at the CVA cascade.
The rugers usually shoot good but the actions are pretty rough on the ones I've been around.
CZ alphas are on a pretty good sale at euro optic
Howa has some threaded options and you can buy barreled actions from Brownells then get whatever stock you want.

It's not as easy to get strelok now. My old phone quit working and I lost all my data but I was able to get the strelok app transferred over to my new phone. I'm just going to redo everything and stick with strelok since I'm used to it.
OP, make sure your scope height is entered correctly too
I put mine on my Tikka 308 and my brother put one on his 300wm. We got them on sale at sportsman's last summer for 350. The reticle looks a little different, but I really like it when actually shooting with it.
Looks like a pretty sweet setup. I've been thinking of something like that for my thermal. Not sure on if I want to go with the 22 or the 6, but I'd probably do an 18 inch barrel. My 22-250 has been pretty good though.
Silencer shop kiosk is pretty easy. I've bought from my dealer then used the kiosk and have also ordered cans on silencer shop to have transfered to my dealer. That only adds a week or 2 for the transfer. Since I'm in the silencer shop system I didn't even have to go to the dealer for the last...
I can see it from two ways.
More primitive weapon and keep the same amount of tags, or current muzzleloaders with less tags.
"Primitive" muzzleloaders will still do the job, you just have to limit your range. If not you may see more wounding, but that's up to the person pulling the trigger...
I'd plan on buying a handheld scanner too. I'd rather have a 384 scope and scanner than just a 640 scope by itself.
I had a AGM rattler 35-384 and think it's good to shoot out to 225 or so. I have the 50mm 640 rattler now. The only negative on those is the battery life, but I just use a small...
My howa 22-250 out shoots my model 70 and friends xbolt in the same caliber.
My 2 most accurate are an FN 308 and my Tika t3x in 308.
I'd look at Tika or Seekins. I would've gotten a Seekins if they offered a shorter barrel in the base model havaks. I'm very happy with the Tika though...
I was in SE MT last year too and it was super slow. Barely even saw does. The forest service guys said the numbers were way down and that's what we experienced. My brother called the biologist last week and he said not to waste our points on the south east area.
