North, South Wyoming or North Colorado for Mulies

Any luck like I had on my 2013 Lope hunt, there will be snow....and lots of it. Then lots if mud, but I did kill a goat.

North, South Wyoming or North Colorado for Mulies

That's my biggest fear is getting the truck snowed in. I thought about camping out on the west side of Area 25 along the county line or north of but near Burgess Junction and hiking the ridge north. Thought if there was snow before I got there I could head to the extreme south of region Y, but...

North, South Wyoming or North Colorado for Mulies

Cool. I was thinking about basing out of my truck and maybe spiking out for a day or two or three at a time. A little nervous about the snow up in the Horns after mid October though.

North, South Wyoming or North Colorado for Mulies

I like the idea of hunting S. Wy because I could also scout Colorado or vise versa and hunt the general areas from year to year.

North, South Wyoming or North Colorado for Mulies

Does anyone have any experience hunting Muleys between 14/14A and the Montana border in R or Y? Thinking about a DIY here. It would be my first mountain hunt. I've done quite a bit of research of the area, but just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts or opinions that I may not have found...

    Hunting a corn field ?

I love hunting between a cornfield and a bedding area. I mean I like to hunt between a food source and a bedding area the majority if the time, but when there is standing corn, I really love to be there.

    Wy Mule Deer Region C & Y

Thanks! I'm pretty interested in unit Y. I could always hunt the Natl Forest, but the area around Kaycee looks intriguing. If not for the hunting them for it's history.

    Wy Mule Deer Region C & Y

Has anyone got Muley experience in either Region C or Y or both? I'm familiar with access issues in C and wouldn't be opposed to a trespass fee for access if the WIAs and accessible BLM won't produce. I might also be thinking about combo-ing some type 6 lopes within the Deer region. I've...

Help with 1st Elk trip - Colorado

Thanks everyone! I've been running for a year anywhere from 2-4 miles daily with a few 5-7 mile runs in too. Sometimes with a backpack with weight. I have been lifting weights 3-5 days a week for about the last 4 months. Just need to push away from the table sooner :( and the holidays aren't...

Help with 1st Elk trip - Colorado

Thanks Johnie, Thinking about maybe cutting my teeth or trying out the altitude legs and lungs on a cow hunt. May be a good idea to try for a cow and scout an area where some PPs are needed. I dunno, I'm close to just throwing a dart at the map!

Help with 1st Elk trip - Colorado

I have been researching an Elk hunt for a few years and I've noticed I'm not getting any younger. I really want to use the bow, but I think it would be better to carry my rifle until I learn a thing or two. Also, I live in Michigan, the only thing flatter is Ohio. So I realize this is going to...
