For top velocity you might try RL-26 or RL-23. H-1000 seems to often provide good accuracy. Good luck. Bruce

I'm using 61.7 grains. That bullet at that speed seems to be a sweet spot as far as performance on animals. I've had several African PH's ask what bullet I was using. My kills have been from 50 yds to 611. Been a great combo for me. Buce

24 inch 7 SAUM with RL 26 and a Berger 180 HVLD. Right at 2900 fps. Killing machine. Likely over 50 animals now including 3 eland. Bruce

I’ve got a 6.5 SS which is quite similar to your PRC. I have a 24 inch barrel and get 3000 fps using the 156’s and RL 26. Out of the powders you listed I’d try the H-1000 first. The others may be too slow and run out of case space before you get the velocity you want. I could be wrong tho. Bruce

I run the 180 VLD in my 7 SAUM. I’m at 2900 fps and it’s a killing machine. I think close to 50 animals including 3 eland. Sub 1/2 inch when I do my part. 3 or 4 trips to Africa plus use here in Wy. Deadly combo for me. Never tried the 175’s so I can’t comment on them.
